CAD Operator - Civil Site - Prudent Engineering

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

We have an open position at our East Syracuse office for a CAD Operator with at least 3 years of civil site experience. 

What you'll be able to do:

• Work closely with Design Staff to prepare engineering contract drawings (CAD drawings). 
• Draft and develop engineering contract documents as directed from engineering mark‐up sketches, detailed drawings, and verbal direction. 
• Revise/update existing engineering contract drawings as required.    
• Use CAD software to determine/calculate project construction item quantities. 
• Understand and apply client CAD standards and requirements. 
• Manage CAD computer files and understand CAD file interrelationships. 
• Assist Design Staff in the use of CAD software, including trouble shooting of CAD issues

The minimum requirements we seek:

• High School Diploma or Drafting/Design/Engineering Technical School Certificate 
• 3+ years AutoCAD experience, MicroStation experience a plus 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel) 
• Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
