* The CAD Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and
efficient project execution by interpreting blueprints, scheduling
projects, gathering key information, and preparing essential documents.
This role involves daily collaboration with architects, contractors,
outside sales representatives, and tapered estimators, requiring
excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of Microsoft
applications and CAD software. While Revit and construction experience
are preferred, candidates with the ability to quickly adapt and learn
will also be considered.
* This job will be expected to perform duties Monday - Friday, 8am -
5pm with the occasional weekend. This job will require up to travel for
the calendar year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Analyze and interpret architectural blueprints, specifications, and
other project documentation to extract critical information relevant to
roofing projects.
* Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of
tasks and overall project delivery.
* Collaborate with various stakeholders, including architects,
contractors, and sales representatives, to gather key information
necessary for project planning and execution.
* Prepare accurate and detailed CAD drawings and documents for roofing
projects, adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
* Work closely with architects, contractors, outside sales
representatives, and tapered estimators to address project requirements
and provide technical support as needed.
* Utilize Microsoft applications and CAD software proficiently to
create, modify, and finalize drawings and documents.
* Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
* Strong organizational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software
Education and Experience:
* Required:
* 2-3
* Preferred:
* Experience with Revit
* Previous experience in the construction industry
Working Conditions:
* Office environment
* Remote Monday & Friday
