We are currently searching for a CADD Technician for a consulting engineering firm in Baltimore, MD. The CADD Technician is responsible for drafting details and plans for site construction in conformance with company standards. This includes, but is not limited to, the following aspects of the project: grading, utility management, stormwater management, and sediment and erosion control. Accuracy and quality are essential in this role, with opportunities for creative thought and direct design input. A strong commitment to accuracy, quality control, and a willingness to embrace a collaborative work environment is essential.

Prepare scale drawings using computer-aided design or drafting systems (CAD) to develop plans for grading, utilities, drainage, stormwater management, sediment, and erosion control. Drawings should conform to company standards and/or jurisdiction/client standards.

At times, the technician may have to prepare drawings by hand, using compasses, dividers, protractors, triangles, and other drafting devices.

Prepare documentation, details, drawings, or specifications in accordance with company standards and jurisdictional standards.

Perform research of relevant codes and gather site specific data from online resources such as zoning, soils data, environmental information, real property data and any other available. Observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.

Prepare permit applications and submit to local jurisdictions.

Deliver plans and or permit documentation to clients or agencies.

Meet with the project team to review or discuss architectural drawings.

Coordinate with Designers and design team on daily work assignments and work schedules.
Requirements:

0 - 3 years of experience as a CADD technician preparing engineering or building-related construction plans for K-12 schools, municipal projects, hospital campuses

Computer and technical skills including AutoCAD Civil3D, Microstation Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Must be able to communicate/interface well with other personnel.

High School Diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's degree or completed technical trade school education in CADD or a related field is preferred.
The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $85,000 base salary and includes health, dental, and vision benefits, and a 401k plan.
