CDL Driver - AM Shift - 1-800-Flowers Family of Brands

In accordance with the established mission, policies and procedures of Cheryl&Co. and/or specific instructions from the Warehouse Operations Manager the Driver is responsible for transporting, loading and unloading goods as scheduled and any other duties as assigned.


* Complete pick-ups and deliveries as scheduled
* Discerning suitable vehicle and container placements
* Maneuvering vehicles and containers between areas of our facility and off-site
* Assist in loading and unloading of truck
* Working in Freezer and Cooler temperatures
* Complete daily paperwork
* Keep log book, trip reports, vehicle inspections up to date


* Assisting other CDL Drivers as needed
* Cleaning and refueling vehicles and trailers as needed
* Inspecting Vehicles to discern potential Maintenance needs
* Maintaining order, communication, and safety in the yard
* Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned





QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Degree

CDL License Class A

Previous warehouse experience preferred



SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS: Hours and days vary to delivery schedule. Additional hours including weekends may be required as business needs require.



JOB SPECIFICATION:



Complexity: Previous experience in a warehouse environment and 1-2 years driving experience. Must have a CDL License Class A with a good driving record. Must be cleared by company insurance company for driving of company vehicles. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.



Working Conditions: All of the time will be spent in a warehouse environment or in a vehicle transporting goods.



Physical Demands: While performing duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand or sit for long periods of time, use hands to finger, handle control, and to talk or hear. The associate is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The associate is frequently required to bend and twist. The associate may be required to lift up to 50lbs frequently.
