We are looking for a motivated, organized, and talented CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)/Vital Sign Reviewer to join our team, focusing on monitoring enrolled patients' vital sign readings and performing administrative tasks to support our Clinical Health Coaching team. Job Purpose:
Responsible to monitor patient's vital sign readings via the My Wellness Connect ™ app and alerting the appropriate team members when vital readings are outside acceptable limits. Also performs administrative tasks to support the Clinical Health Coach team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitors patient vital signs readings (including blood pressure, blood glucose levels, blood oxygen saturation levels, weight, temperature, airflow, and heart rhythm) and reports readings that are outside established parameters within the electronic medical record system
- Schedules / reschedules appointments
- Performs data entry tasks including entering patient information on the electronic medical record
- Attends and actively participates in staff meetings
- Maintains respectful, courteous, and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills with all staff members, volunteers, and patients
- Supports patient care activities by managing time effectively, utilizing resources appropriately, and exemplifying excellence in attention to detail
- Actively participates in and support quality improvement activities and the clinical practice team efforts with an emphasis on the importance of the individual patient and putting the patient's needs first
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Here are our MUST HAVES:
Required Education, Experience, Certifications / Licensure, & Skills:
- A high school diploma / GED with THREE to FIVE years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- An active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certification
- Prior experience working in EHR/EMR systems (i.e. EPIC, Meditech, etc.)
- Familiar with Medical Office Technology and Medical Terminology
- Meticulous with an attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions easily
- Timely
- Focused
- Responsive
- Data entry / keyboarding and control skills
- Analytical Skills
- A self-starter, driven to accomplish exceptional results
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Prior CMA experience in vital sign monitoring, specifically being able to recognize heart arrhythmias
Requirements:
Job Type (FLSA Status): Hourly Non-exempt
Pay: $33,700.00 to $33,800.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate: N/A
Work Location: Work from Home from anywhere in Kentucky
