Duties/Responsibilities:
Develop, edit, maintain & improve CMM programs related to CNC setup, PPAP, engineering evaluations, etc.
Assess, develop and improve the fixturing related to CMM
Take-part in continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and accuracy for inspections
Conduct first article inspections, process capability studies, random sampling, custom evaluations, etc
using a combination of metrology equipment
Complete accurate documentation of inspection and process results using MS office, Smartsheet, Sharepoint & Oracle
Recommend and specify instrumentation, calibration and gauging needs
Actively participate in defining strategies to meet quality objectives and in-system reviews within the team
When needed, utilize material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or reach stackers to move product
Problem-solve individually or as part of a group as job duties require
Responsible for prompt and regular attendance as scheduled and may be required to work overtime
Education & Experience Required:
Associates degree or equivalent required (Formal training in CMM programming is acceptable)
5 years’ experience in quality inspection
3 years programming CMMs required
Required Skills:
Knowledge of PC-DMIS is preferred
In-depth understanding of GD&T and apply principles when programming & conducting inspections is required.
Ability to program from CAD models and directly from the product.
