Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a long-term care setting, with a focus on dementia, and memory care. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and be proficient in medical records and documentation.
Duties:
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, grooming, and feeding.
- Provide catheter care
- Participate in memory care and dementia care programs, including behavioral interventions and activity planning.
- Monitor and report patient symptoms and vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Document patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in a long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of long-term care medicine and medical terminology.
- Experience with medical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills:
- Familiarity with medical documentation.
- Ability to care for patients with dementia and memory loss.
- Knowledge of catheter care.
- Experience working in a long-term care setting.
