Job Overview

The School-Based Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellness of students within the school environment. This position involves providing direct care to students, assisting the school nurse in health-related tasks, and promoting a safe and healthy school environment. The CNA will help ensure that students with medical needs receive appropriate attention and support throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the school nurse
• Provide basic first aid and care
• Monitor and document student health data
• Support students with special healthcare needs
• Educate students on basic health and hygiene practices.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding health concerns.
• Participate in health education initiatives and promote wellness activities.

Hours:

• 8am - 4pm
• Monday - Friday

Qualifications:

• Current CNA certification
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR techniques.
• Compassionate and patient-focused demeanor.

Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to work in a school environment, interacting with students and staff throughout the day.
