The CNC Machine Operator plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing process, overseeing the operation and maintenance of CNC machinery. Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machines according to established specifications.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine tooling, work methods, and processes.
Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
Conduct quality control checks using precision measuring instruments.
Adjust machine parameters to achieve the desired specifications.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve operational processes.
Monitor and document production outputs and defects.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
Report any malfunctions or discrepancies to the supervisor immediately.
Follow production schedules and deadlines, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
Keep up-to-date with new technology and techniques in CNC machining.
Assist in training new operators on CNC machine operations.
Calibrate tools and set up fixtures for production runs.
Participate in safety training sessions and adhere to all safety protocols.
Utilize computers and software to plan machine work and track production data.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
Proven experience as a CNC Machine Operator.
Familiarity with CNC programming and computer numerical control systems.
Knowledge of metallurgy and materials used in machining.
Experience with specific CNC machinery such as lathes and mills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
Certifications in CNC machining or related fields are a plus.
