CNC Mill & Lathe Operator 2nd Shift - Phillips Staffing

Phillips Staffing is seeking motivated individuals to join the team at a leading metal fabricating company in Anderson, SC! 

Responsibilities:

• Operate/set-up/program/maintain CNC Mill (Haas and/or Fadal) and Lathe machines efficiently
• Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives as a unified goal.
• Maintain machines, cooling systems, tooling; replace or notify management as needed
• Modify programs to account for problems encountered during operation
• Perform quality inspections of parts to produce products that exceed customer's expectations
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area and stage completed product properly on skids
• Follow safe operating practices and lead team to do the same
• Train/mentor less experienced operators in proper process and safety

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts.
• Understanding of machine tool clearances, set up accuracy, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets.
• Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds, and toll hard turning and/or milling applications.
• Ability to interpret blue print and quality requirements
• CNC set-up and operating experience (preferably with HAAS and Fadal equipment preferred)
• Dimensional measuring, shop math competence and basic computer skills
• Capable of using calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Effective communication skills to discuss and understand work procedures, training, general direction and other issues with co-workers and supervisor

Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift, 3:30 pm – 2:00 am, Monday - Thursday
Pay Rate: $20/Hour+ Based on Experience
