Qualifications

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment or a completed training program.

Two years of experience in a relevant manufacturing environment or a completed training program preferred and operating lathes and mills.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must have knowledge of general operations of CNC machine to include proper set up of jaws and tightening of part.

Basic knowledge of FANUC controls.

Ability to read measuring tools such as measuring tape, pie tape and calipers.

Ability to read and understand prints, drawings.

Ability to detect defects with machining.

Basic math skills that include geometry and trigonometry to calculate material fabrication.

Physical Conditions:

Position requires constant standing, kneeling, raising of arms to exercise control of machine, and climbing to gauge progress of cutting. Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs. Exposure to high temperature in facility. Able to lift heavy equipment using hoists and forklifts. Able to stand for long periods and be adaptable to a changing work environment as well. Open to being exposed to noise, fumes and varying temperatures. Able to perform repetitive motions and must have strong finger dexterity. Overtime may be required on occasion.
