About the Job
The CNC Programmer is responsible for consistency as well as creating programs, program document retention, operation, and quality processes in accordance with product/process specifications and quality standards. Programmers will work closely with the Machine shop to ensure the production of products outlined within each program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing technical expertise and supports floor personnel with job setups and addresses programming issues
- Design and development of work holding and custom tooling to meet customer inspection specifications
- Driving continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities in machining processes by leveraging new cutting and automation tools
COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Technical, Manufacturing or Engineering studies, or a minimum of 3 (three) years of Programming and 5 (five) years machining experience.
- Proficient in mid-level programming including 3D, surfacing, canned cycles, dynamic, transforms and high speed
- Proficient with GD&T
- Experience machining a variety of metal alloys including aluminum, stainless steel, copper, brass. Additional experience with plastics such as teflon a plus.
- Experience in semiconductor industry and Copy Exact a plus

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Work Environment: high noise level associated with manufacturing facility.
