CNC Setup/Programmer
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be expected to come up with the method of manufacturing the part from a blueprint and using CAM software to make the programs. Including all of the setups, the inspection methods, fixturing and tooling choices to make the part in an efficient and timely manner. You will be making setups on CNC lathes and or CNC milling machines and proofing your own programs in some cases. You must be able to inspect your own work competently.
CNC Milling Programmer is responsible for interpreting project blueprints, setting up machines to produce the parts. Perform test runs and make adjustments until the resulting product meets blueprint specifications, proofing the part.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 2 years of actual operating experience on a CNC lathe or mill.
- A minimum of 3 years of actual setup and inspecting experience on CNC lathe or mill.
- A minimum of 2 years of programming experience on a CAM software
- Must be able to setup and inspect your own work.
- Must have a good knowledge of reading a blueprint.
- Must be able to give and understand verbal instructions.
