- JOB SUMMARY
- Performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs those duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation for the purpose of detecting pathology. Operates equipment safely and maintains A.L.A.R.A. standards while performing all types of procedures. Establishes and maintains a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and medical staff.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional & Technical Skills
- Two years of hospital radiology experience preferred.
- Education
- Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- License(s) or Certification(s)
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Certified as a diagnostic radiation machine operator by the State of Indiana and certification in CT by the ARRT.
- Other Skills or Requirements
- Ability to perform CTand routine procedures with stationary and portable equipment in all areas of the facility, including OR, without constant supervision. Knowledge of the use of fluoroscopic and radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner consistent with minimal radiation exposure and maximum image quality. Ability to assist with specialized procedures involving sterile techniques.
