Hourly Range: $31.83 and up (based on experience)
Salary Range: $66,206.40
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 ($5,000 after 3 months and $5,000 after 6 months)
Shift Type: Nights

Job Description:
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computerized axial tomography procedures in accordance with established standards and departmental protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Review consultation requests and verify any special instructions; consult with Radiologist if necessary.
- Obtain patient history relevant to the CT scan and ensure accurate billing codes.
- Greet patients warmly, confirm identification, and explain the procedure to them and their families.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, staff, and self, according to prescribed standards.
- Perform routine CT scan procedures following established protocols, ensuring technical quality of scans.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all equipment in the CT department, and perform safety inspections.
- Recognize and respond to emergency situations, initiate codes, and administer first aid or CPR as needed.
- Assist Radiologists with CT-guided procedures, including biopsies and drainages.
- Administer and prepare contrast media, adhering to department policies, and assess lab values before procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in the work area, stock supplies, and monitor equipment logs.
- Seek out educational opportunities, stay updated on new procedures, and share knowledge with peers.
- Document scans, complete follow-up paperwork, and ensure patient consent is obtained and understood.

Education:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology (required)
Credentials:
- ARRT-CT Computed Tomography (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support (required)
Experience:
- One year of CAT scan experience (preferred).
- Must complete Point of Care Testing training as part of department orientation.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in customer service and able to handle crisis situations.
Certification Requirements:
- ARRT
- BLS
