Position Description:

Elitecare Medical Staffing INC is seeking a skilled and dedicated CT/X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma and stroke patient imaging and is proficient in the use of radiology equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform CT and X-Ray imaging examinations, focusing on trauma, stroke, and various inpatient, outpatient, and ER procedures.

Operate a Siemens CT scanner and ensure optimal patient care throughout the imaging process.

Maintain safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements, including BLS certification and ARRT registration.

Start IVs as necessary for imaging procedures.

Collaborate with the Radiology Supervisor and Lead Technologist to ensure efficient department operations during the day shift.

Provide support during graveyard shifts when covering both X-Ray and CT services.

Document all procedures accurately in Meditech and utilize DR Merge, with a transition to Phillips software in the near future.

Qualifications:

Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and possess a valid state license.

Preferred experience with trauma and stroke patients.

Familiarity with Siemens radiology equipment.

Ability to manage an average of 60-80 scans/studies per day.

Additional Information:

The Radiology department operates one scanner.

Radiologists are available in-house from 8 AM to 5 PM and can be reached by call after hours.

No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) are utilized in this department.
