Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends) Position is not eligible for hybrid telework workweek.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides support to CTE teachers and support staff within the localpublic-school unit to implement instructional processes andimprove student outcomes to ensure the success of students in a high skill, high wage, or high demand global economy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
- Considerableknowledgeandunderstandingofcurrentprinciples,practices,trends,andissuesinCTE;
- Considerableknowledgeandunderstandingofcurrentandinnovativeinstructionalmethods,material,procedures,and practices;
- ConsiderableknowledgeofandabilitytosupportCTEstaffthroughstudentcenteredcoaching;
- ConsiderableknowledgeofMicrosoftOffice,specifically,Word,Excel,PowerPoint,andAccess;abilitytomanipulate performance data to produce reports, presentations, and documents;
- KnowledgeofGoogleApps;abilitytoutilizeweb-basedapplicationsforinstruction,assessment,anddatacollection;
- Demonstratedleadershipandteambuildingskills;
- Stronginterpersonalskills;

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’sDegreeandanyofthefollowingcredentials:
- CurrentcontinuingprofessionalteachinglicenseinanyCTEarea;OR
- CurrentcontinuingprofessionallicenseasCurriculumInstructionalSpecialist;OR
- CurrentcontinuingprofessionallicenseasInstructionalTechnologySpecialist; OR
- CurrentcontinuingprofessionallicenseasSchoolAdministrator.
AND
- Five(5)yearswithinthepasteight(8)yearsofrelatedworkexperience;
- NorthCarolinaDepartmentofPublicInstruction(NCDPI)-sponsoredCIMCInductionProgram.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- HoldorbeeligibleforaNorthCarolinaprofessionaleducator'slicenseintheareaof Curriculumand Instructional Management Coordinator;
- Mustholdandmaintainavalidmotorvehicleoperator’slicenseaccordingtotheStateofNorthCarolinarequirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienceindevelopingandimplementing/deliveringprofessionallearningfortopicssuchascurriculumdevelopment, data analysis, literacy;
- Experienceworkingwithadultlearnersandunderstandingofadultlearningtheory;
- Districtlevelleadership;
- Proficientuseofonlinetoolsforcollaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MajorFunctions:
- CurriculumManagement
- MaintaincurrentknowledgeoftheCTEEssentialStandardsandvariouscourseinformationreportsavailablein North Carolina Career and Technical Education State Assessment (NCCTE) Admin.
- MaintaincurrentknowledgeofstategraduationrequirementsincludingFutureReadyCore,OccupationalCourse of Study, and Extended Content Standards.
- AssistteachersinlocatingappropriateCTEinstructionalresourcessuchascourseblueprints,curriculumguides, equipment lists, proof of learning guides, and other curriculum-related resources.
- ApplytheuseofcourseinformationreportswithinNCCTEAdmintoimplementCTEprogramsofstudylocally.
- UnderstandtheCTEStatusofCurriculumandAssessment(SOCA)includingcoursecode,coursetype,course status, academic level, proof of learning, and teacher effectiveness model.
- UnderstandcredentialopportunitiesassociatedwithCTEcoursesandpathways.
- MaintaincurrentknowledgeofCTEproofsoflearning.
- Understandstateandlocalarticulationrequirementsandprocesses.
- MaintaincurrentknowledgeofCTEprogramsofstudy,pathways,andCTEconcentratorstatus.
- Maintainthoroughknowledgeofthehonorsportfoliodevelopmentprocess.

- UnderstandPerkinsVlegislationandmaintainthoroughknowledgeofthe localapplicationandcomprehensive local needs assessment.
- CoordinatetheannualcollectionandreportingofdataincludingCTEconcentratorstatusandtechnicalmeasures to meet state and federal requirements.
- AssistCTEdirectors,localadministrators,andteacherswithaccessingavailabledataandreports.
- AssistCTEdirectors,localadministrators,andteacherswithanalyzingperformancedata.
- AssistCTEdirectors,localadministrators,teachers,andotherstakeholderswithutilizingtheCTECourse Management System and NCCTE Admin.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This positionoperates in an office and childcare setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, andcopiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff,staffof external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.This position requires driving automotive equipment.
