About the Job
We are searching for an exceptional, hands-on Cabinet Engineer to interpret blueprints for our production team. The Cabinet Engineer will be required to read and prepare blueprints and work instructions for the onsite cabinet makers and builders. The Cabinet Engineer must understand Cabinet Vision and/or Microvellum. This role acts as a liaison between our pre-production, sales and design team and our production team, as described above. You should also ensure adherence to stipulated building and safety codes during each phase of the project. To be successful as a Cabinet Engineer, you must possess above average computer software skills.
Cabinet Engineer Responsibilities:
- Meeting with sales and design team to ascertain the intended functions and appearance of each space.
- Anticipating and informing production team of additional features and specifications.
- Give careful consideration to the placement of water and electrical systems to ensure safety.
- Suggesting appropriate materials and finishes.
- Measure and order parts and materials per the designs created by sales and design team.
- Create work instructions and orders for production team to follow during builds.
- Observing prescribed building and safety regulations.
Cabinet Engineer Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Prior experience of 2 years as a Cabinet Engineer.
- Familiarity with appropriate design and visualization tools.
- In-depth knowledge of and strict adherence to the area's building codes.
- Top-notch communication and customer service skills.
- Active listening skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Respect for differing opinions, styles, and financial situations.
- Experience with Microvellum is preferred, Cabinet Vision is required.
