Job Summary: The part-time Café dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing kitchen dishes and utensils and providing general cleaning to Cafe areas, including the kitchen, Front of House (FOH), equipment, storage areas, and waste removal.
Additional Information: This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position. The work schedule will be about 12-20 hours a week with a Friday to Sunday daytime weekly schedule. Part-Time staff will receive complimentary Conservatory membership and participation in the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).
Compensation: $15/hr + tips
Responsibilities:

Operates the dish tank and three compartment sink according to predetermined operational procedures.

Cleans, sanitizes, stores, and stocks all dishes for kitchen and FOH throughout the shift.

Monitors trash cans and floors, making sure to sweep/mop as needed and remove waste throughout the shift.

Assists FOH by running food to guests as needed.

Assists culinary team with light food prep as needed.

Sweeps and mops the kitchen and FOH floor at the end of every shift.

Removes trash, recycling, and compost at the end of every shift.

Helps organize, label, store, and rotate stock as deliveries arrive.

Clears dishes, sanitizes surfaces, and sweeps under tables in dining areas throughout the shift.

Ensures the dish tank area is clean and organized at all times.

Promptly informs the Executive Chef when cleaning products are running low and of any malfunctions of equipment or drainage systems.

Adheres to a weekly cleaning schedule.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekend and some evening hours.

Previous experience in foodservice is helpful, but not required.

Must have a sense of urgency.

Ability to stand/walk for several hours at a time.
