Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Instrumentation calibration, repair, and documentation services in compliance with ISO 9001 certification requirements.
- Provide customer support services including guidance of instrument and sensor selection, data recording equipment, calibration, and 3D printing.
- Support Product Assurance department requests and special projects.
- Create and track budgets for instrumentation equipment, maintenance, and outside calibration services.
- Perform audits of instrument lab processes and checkout methods to ensure traceability tracking
- Lead instrumentation training plan for all members of Test Operations and Product Validation
- Coordination process improvement in all Instrument Lab activities.
- Supervision of lab technicians.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
- Associates Degree in science related to Industrial Equipment or Automotive Systems.
- Minimum 5 years industry experience
- ASQ certification in CCT Instrumentation Calibration a plus.
- Specialized knowledge/skill in engineering analysis, and testing procedures.
- Specialized knowledge/skill in industrial vehicle/automotive technology.
- Specialized knowledge/skill in engineering test procedures.
- Specialized knowledge/skill in project management and planning.
- Experienced in managing 2-4 member test team.
- Innovative thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Quality: Follow established procedures and be attentive to details to ensure accuracy in testing and documentation.
- Decision Making: Exhibit good judgment and a realistic understanding of issues; demonstrate ability to take decisive actions to develop product or resolve issues.
- Systematic Problem solving: Demonstrate ability to apply basic principles and methods to resolve product issues.
- Teamwork and Flexibility: Function well in a team environment by working well with other employees and other departments.
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 5% total time)
Standard lab/production environment. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation. Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients or suppliers. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
