About the Job
Lifeway Camp is seeking a Merchandising Specialist who will oversee the merchandise operations for FUGE and CentriKid, including product line development, pricing, inventory management, and sales strategies. The role is responsible for driving revenue through effective merchandising strategies and achieving high profit margins, with total revenue responsibility across both camp brands. The Merchandising Specialist will collaborate with internal teams, manage logistics across multiple event locations, and provide training and support to seasonal staff to ensure smooth operations.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office position located in the greater Nashville, TN area and relocation assistance is available.#LI-Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the life cycle of all merchandise for FUGE and CentriKid Camps.
- Develop product lines that align with camp themes, create pricing strategies, and source products in partnership with the Procurement Team.
- Manage inventory levels, including forecasting, purchasing, and monitoring inventory turnover rates, ensuring adequate stock throughout the camp season.
- Establish and achieve event goals related to budget and profit margins.
- Plan and execute merchandise logistics, including ordering inventory, coordinating deliveries, and managing on-site merchandise setup.
- Ensure accurate and timely reorders based on sales trends and inventory needs, and oversee logistics across multiple event locations.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for seasonal staff on merchandise-related responsibilities.
- Provide ongoing support throughout the event season, addressing staff questions and troubleshooting issues to ensure smooth merchandise operations.
- Maintain consistent communication and merchandising practices across FUGE and CentriKid camp brands.
- Act as a liaison between brand teams to ensure cohesive merchandise strategy and presentation.
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to align merchandise with brand identity and event themes
- Address customer service inquiries related to camp merchandise, including resolving issues with gift certificates and pre-sale orders.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs on an intermittent basis
- Seasonally heavy travel (2-3 times/mo during a specific season)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Logistics or related field
Knowledge, Skills, Experience, & Abilities
- 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, retail management, or a related field.
- Problem Solving: Ability to address and resolve merchandise-related issues effectively
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure clear and effective interactions.
- Microsoft Excel:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
- Analytical and Logistics Skills: Strong analytical skills and understanding of logistics to manage inventory and sales processes.
- Self-Motivation: Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as a self-starter.
- Team Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external teams, ensuring consistency across all brands.
- Vendor Liaison: Experience in communicating and coordinating with vendors, ensuring all agreements and contracts are in order.
- On-Site Management: Skilled in managing on-site operations, including setup, execution, and teardown.
- Creativity and Innovation: Ability to develop creative concepts and innovative solutions. Strong aesthetic sense and attention to design details.
- Training and Development: Developing and delivering training, ensuring that seasonal staff are well-prepared for merchandise-related responsibilities.
- Customer Service Orientation: Ensuring excellent service and efficient resolution of merchandise-related inquiries for internal and external customers
