Job Location: Petaluma, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $26-$27/hour
Schedule: 3 different shift times and shift options of Sunday - Wednesday or Thursday - Saturday (Will be working during the holidays and receive additional pay for those days.)
Am Shift: 9:30-1:30ppm
Mid Shift: 1 pm-5:30pm
Pm Shift: 5 pm-10:30pm
Description of Positions:
We are seeking experienced and responsible Captains/Team Leads to oversee daily operations and act as liaisons between event staff and the general manager at our ice rink event. Team Leads will coordinate staff activities, ensure smooth operations, and address any issues that arise, helping create a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests. This temporary position runs from the second week of December through January 7.
There will be a group orientation/training that will take place in mid-November.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the point of contact between the general manager and event staff, communicating updates, changes, and directives.
- Oversee and assist with daily operations, ensuring staff are performing their assigned duties (e.g., guest check-in, skate fitting, safety monitoring).
- Assist with staff schedules and breaks to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Monitor staff performance, providing guidance and support when needed.
- Address any guest concerns or operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure safety protocols and rink rules are being followed by both guests and staff.
- Report any significant incidents, staff issues, or operational challenges to the general manager.

Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably in event management or customer service.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to ice skate.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
