About The Position
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) **Job Specialty:** Procedural Recovery - Cardiac Cath Lab **Job Duration:** 12 months **Shift:** Days, 5x8 Hr **Guaranteed Hours:** 40 hours per week **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of experience **License:** Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC) **Certifications:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association **Must-Have:** Cardiac Cath Lab Practice, Patient Care **Job Description:** - Provide nursing care in specialty areas under general supervision. - Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients. - Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, and note all changes in physician orders on assigned patients. - Assist physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments. - Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients, observe the physiological manifestations of patients, and intervene when necessary. - Administer medication as prescribed. - Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products. - Deliver competent patient care and interact with family and patient, sharing care plan during hospital stay and discharge. - Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers. - Inform patients and families of hospital procedures. - Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. - Delegate tasks to support staff. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Skills:** - Completion of orientation and the ability to function independently in assigned specialty area. - Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. - Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services and applying nursing techniques. - Good working relationships with other employees. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team providing exceptional specialized care. - Some computer skills. **Preferred Education:** - Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing from a Board Approved Program
