Sanitas Medical Center is hiring a Full-Time Clinical Care Assistant for our Ocala Central facility in Ocala, FL. The Clinical Care Assistant plays a vital role in the registration, examination, treatment, and overall management of patients, working under the direction of a physician or other provider. This position focuses on health risk and chronic disease management, engaging closely with the patient population.

Responsibilities:
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patient charts.
- Assist with daily patient flow as needed.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care activities and laboratory tests under physician or nurse supervision.
- Maintain a safe and aesthetic environment.
- Perform EKGs, administer vaccines and medications, and assist in procedures/treatments as directed by the physician.
- Conduct supervised lab work once certified by a nurse or physician, and prepare equipment for sterilization.
- Adhere to Nursing Department policies and procedures.
- Check medical equipment and supplies for function and expiration dates; report malfunctions and safety issues.
- Maintain quality control logs for department equipment and cleaning.
- Comply with Infection Control and OSHA regulations regarding biomedical waste handling and disposal.
- Process confidential information with discretion and demonstrate teamwork across departments.
- Maintain logging systems for procedures and enter nursing procedures into the computer system.
- Follow up on medical records to obtain missing results prior to patient appointments.
- Be flexible to rotate weekends, holidays, and shifts as required by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School or Technical school education required.
- BLS certification required.
- A combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties described.
- One (1) year of experience as a Medical Assistant, CNA, patient technician, or Home Health Aide preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems (eCW preferred), as well as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Relevant vocational coursework preferred.
Physical Demands:
This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with specific vision abilities and exposure to varying environmental conditions.
