C.N.A. POSITION SUMMARY:
Assists in facilitating, performs resident/patient care activities, and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of residents/patients as assigned. Assists in providing a positive physical, social, and psychological environment. Follows all Key Training Centers Policies and Procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Works in conjunction with Nursing Manager and LPN relating to medical needs of KTC residential clients.
- Maintains resident stability by checking vital signs and weight, reporting concerns to Nurse Manager and LPN.
- Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Attending monthly Supervisor and Manager Meetings and to meet as needed as care team for medical needs of residential clients.
- Transport residents to medical appointments, scheduling follow up appointments and ensuring all proper documentation is completed at time of medical appointment. Communicating with Nurse Manager, LPN and group home Resident Manager.
- May be required to assist in Isolation Room and/or quarantined group homes. Follows all CDC guidelines relating to patient care.
- Serves as back up support in medically fragile group homes (Spooner, Contento, and Key Light 2).
- Protects organization's value by keeping patient information confidential, following HIPAA standards.
- Stay up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.
- Assisting the Nurse Manager and LPN in staff medication validation tracking, TB test tracking and CPR certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Three (2) years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a skilled setting, ALF or group home.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to deal courteously, tactfully and efficiently with program participants, family, staff members and the public.
Emotional stability and maturity with a genuine interest in working with program participants.
Willingness to comply with in-service, training or other mandates.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to focus.
