As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and high-quality healthcare services to patients and residents in various healthcare settings. CNAs work under the supervision of licensed nurses, assisting with daily living activities, ensuring patients' comfort, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Our fully-accredited non-profit private school combines traditional academics with therapeutic intervention and pre-vocational skill development. Our Adult Services Program includes five licensed community residences/group homes and two adult learning centers. Matheny's Arts Access program empowers individuals with disabilities to create art without boundaries. Duties of this positon include:
+ Participates in appropriate staff meetings, as required, as well as professional growth opportunities.
+ Respects basic human rights, dignity and confidentiality of persons served as well as property belonging to others.
+ Participates in departmental and interdisciplinary performance improvement initiatives as appropriate.
+ Attends all required staff in-services.
+ Maintains a clean and safe working environment for all concerned.
+ Effectively communicates with department head, co-workers, persons served, their families, and outside agency personnel as appropriate.
+ Commits time necessary to the job to ensure appropriate staffing and completion of duties and responsibilities.
+ Effectively manages time at work.
+ Complies with Employee Health requirements.
+ Complies with Matheny policies, procedures, standards of performance and Code of Conduct.
+ Approved background check required from all appropriate government agencies.
+ New Jersey Department of Education background check clearance or emergent hire approval required, if applicable.
+ Assists co-workers in the event absences create staff shortages or during emergency staffing situations.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensure/Certification:
Possess a valid state-issued Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate, demonstrating successful completion of an approved CNA training program.
Possession of a valid CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification is required.
