GENERAL SUMMARY
Provides support to LVN's and medical staff by performing a variety of medical functions including obtaining vitals, recording consumer medical information, administering medical screenings, etc. Handles front desk administrative functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Assists with overseeing the daily well-being of patients on unit by providing medical care within scope of practice.
- Schedules and coordinates daily tasks associated with consumer care by communicating with consumer, other support staff (RSS/CNAs/CMAs), and counselor staff.
- Develops and maintains positive supportive communication with patients in the various stages of treatment process, including intake, ongoing treatment, and discharge.
- Performs a variety of discharge and incoming duties, including cleaning and stocking rooms and distributing hygiene kits to patients.
- Completes all documentation related to consumer care.
- Provides medical assistance in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Monitors patient behavior and symptoms. Check vitals and assists with examinations.
- Ensures Center/Medical standards for infection control are met.
- Educates consumers on signs and symptoms of detox.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalency
- One (1) year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Licenses or Certifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification to practice in the State of Texas
Other Requirements
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business
- Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

- Job has no responsibility for the direction or supervision of others.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
- Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care.
- The employee must be able to occasionally transfer a consumer.
Compensation Package
Salary Range: Min $31,200.00 – Max $37,440.00 Per Year
