• PRN candidate provides coverage for our Full-time staff while on PTO also when census is higher.
• Hours are 9:00AM-4:30PM
• The shift may include weekdays and weekend. -
• All PRN therapy staff are required to work at least one weekend a month (more if you would like want). -
• Candidate may have the opportunity to work at least one day a week. -
• Inpatient rehab. -
• Opportunities to cross training to work acute care therapy
• Opportunities to pick up extra shifts available
• -Acute Care, SNF experience or did rotation in inpatient rehab - is preferred but not required.Job Summary:Evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assesses patient 's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills. Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
  • Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities. Documents findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Oversees the care provided by designated individuals according to established regulations and practice standards.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION
    • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, or related area as required to obtain licensure in state of practiceEXPERIENCE
      • No experience requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
        • Constant standing.
        • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
        • Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
        • Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
        • Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
        • Frequent walking, reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
        • Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, sitting, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
        • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
        • Occasional lifting/moving patients.
        • Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships and to identify and distinguish colors.
        • Occasional driving.
