Job DescriptionWe are hiring Certified Pharmacy Technicians for our Orlando, Florida location. The candidate must meet state requirements to work as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy. Must hold an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).

We are hiring for the following shifts:
- 1st shift – Required to work an 8-hour shift between 8 AM and 6 PM, with rotating Saturdays from 9 AM to 7 PM.
- 2nd shift – Required to work an 8-hour shift between 10 AM and 9 PM, with rotating Saturdays from 9 AM to 7 PM.
Job Duties include:
- Inventory Management: Maintain quality, accuracy, and integrity of inventory (pharmaceuticals, supplies). Ensure adherence to inventory control procedures, audit pill cell performance, conduct process audits, manage databases, troubleshoot issues, handle hazardous waste, process recalls and expired products.
- Data Entry: Enter prescription data into pharmacy software by reading prescriptions, translating information into system codes, transcribing details (drug name, strength, directions, refills, prescriber information), and creating/modifying patient records.
- Professional Standards: Promote the pharmacy's reputation and deliver products/services per laws and policies. Assist in prescription fulfillment, stock merchandise, handle claims and returns, maintain documentation, and ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Compliance: Comply with Medicare and Medicaid policies by implementing rules and regulations, keeping up-to-date on changes, researching information for accurate processing, and interpreting/documenting audit documents.
- Prescription Fulfillment: Ensure fulfillment of prescriptions in a Home Delivery/Specialty pharmacy by identifying products, verifying details, counting/measuring medications, mixing/reconstituting as needed, entering expiration dates and lot numbers, labeling prescriptions, and preparing packages for distribution.
- Problem Resolution: Monitor and resolve problems in the prescription fulfillment process by utilizing knowledge of procedures, determining root causes, processing insurance claims, resolving rejections, interpreting messages and codes, reprocessing claims, alerting patients to issues, coordinating with IT support, and identifying situations requiring pharmacist intervention.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification,and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- Holds an active/valid national certification certificate issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT).
