Responsibilities:| Maintains pharmacy workflow; including but not limited to compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, distribution of medication in compliance with current standards or obtaining a complete and accurate medication history based on organization standard. Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians. Serves as a mentor in the training and orientation of new employees. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives. Communicates effectively with team members in and outside of pharmacy, providing quality customer service. Performs other duties as assigned. |
| EDUCATION: |
| Required: High School Diploma or equivalent |
| EXPERIENCE: |
| Required: 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience. |
| LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: |
| Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire. Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire. |
