Certified Physical Therapist Assistant - Arcadia Care at Dayton

Summary

The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Physical Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Responsibilities

· Apply selected forms of treatment or modalities under the direction of the physical therapist.

· Collaborate with the physical therapist to develop and implement recovery programs.

· Document services provided.

· Monitor patients’ progress and monitor treatments to ensure accuracy and timely dissemination of results.

· Consult patients and assist them in achieving optimum recovery.

· Maintain accurate records and complete appropriate documentation.

· Attend staff meetings and educational sessions as assigned.

Skills

· Proven work experience as a physical therapist assistant or physical therapist.

· Experience in working with adults, adolescents, or certain populations (e.g., cancer patients) preferred but not required.

· Knowledge of basic exercise principles, body mechanics, and injury prevention techniques preferred but not required.

Requirements:

· A strong understanding of the needs of our customers including patients, employees, and the community at large.

· Current licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in practicing state(s) with education from an accredited program.

· Any additional certification/ registry, as required.
