Certified Surgical Tech Details

Essential Job Duties:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures/equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care within the scope of experience and practice.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policy and procedure.
• Demonstrates professional conduct and a positive attitude.
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.
• Orthopedic Clinic Duties
• Weekend on call and holiday rotations
• Performs other duties as assigned.

License/Certification:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Must have active IN CST certification
• Must have active BLS certification
• Experience in Ortho preferred

Certified Surgical First Assist Details

Essential Job Duties:

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and successful surgical outcomes.
• Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures/equipment.
• Assumes responsibility for patient care within the scope of experience and practice.
• Scrub and assist under the supervision of a surgeon.
• Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policy and procedure.
• Demonstrates professional conduct and a positive attitude.
• Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.
• Orthopedic Clinic Duties
• Weekend on call and holiday rotations
• Performs other duties as assigned.

License/Certification:

• Must have active BLS certification
• Experience in Ortho preferred
• Graduate of an Operating Room Technician Program or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Must have graduated from an accredited surgical technology program
• Certification as an Operating Room Technician/First Assistant required.
• CST certification preferred.
• Must have active IN CFA certification
• Successful performance of on-job-training for Operating Room Technicians.
