About the Job
Cheshire Medical Center, part of the Dartmouth Health system, is seeking its next Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This role reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer and provides oversight for the clinical and administrative functions of the Department of OB/GYN.
The Chair of OB/GYN position is 0.6 FTE clinical and 0.4 FTE administrative.
At Cheshire Medical Center, we provide comprehensive, gender-affirming obstetrics and gynecology services for patients with a collaborative model of care that includes physicians, certified nurse-midwives, and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners. Our patients also benefit from a robust surgical practice including robotics and seamless access to board certified subspecialists in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology and Urogynecology in the Dartmouth Health system.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be board certified Obstetrics and Gynecology and must be able to maintain medical licensure in the state of New Hampshire. Prior leadership experience is required, and we are seeking candidates who demonstrate a focus on quality improvement efforts as well as clinical excellence.
In addition to clinical duties, responsibilities of the Chair include:
- Writing and reviewing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Occurrence report and patient grievance report management
- Quality assessment and quality metric oversight
- Participation in the recruiting, credentialing, and onboarding new providers
- Oversight of OPPE/FPPE/corrective action plans for providers
- Case reviews and peer reviews
- Yearly evaluations of overseen providers
- Provider scheduling (clinic and call)
- Budgeting responsibilities in partnership with the Operations team
- Performance improvement initiatives
