About the Job
Cook County Health is seeking a Chair for the Division of Gastroenterology. The Division Chair is responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day operations across Cook County Health (CCH), with a primary focus on leadership oversight and ensuring the quality and accessibility of patient care delivered by the Divisions clinical staff. In collaboration with system leadership, the Division Chair will develop a strategic vision for the Divisions faculty and staff, implementing programs and initiatives that align with CCH's mission and goals. The Division Chair will also guide the transformation of the division within the evolving healthcare environment. - Seven (7) years of work experience as an Attending Physician in the practice of Gastroenterology. At least two (2) years of this experience must have taken place in an institution in which there is active training of residents and/or fellows
- Three (3) years of work experience in administering clinical, educational, quality assurance and programs related to Gastroenterology
- Extensive clinical experience in Gastroenterology, with a strong record of patient care
