Summary - basic function of the role
Provide essential support for Enerpac's national and regional distribution channel including execution of channel marketing programs, channel marketing campaigns, channel communications, and new product setup support. This role is based at Enerpac's headquarters in Wisconsin and reports directly to the Senior Director of Strategic Sales, National Accounts and OEM . The role requires the ability to work independently with multiple functional teams and may require approxi mately 10%-25% travel.
Shift: Monday - Friday, hybrid 3 days in office schedule in Menomonee Falls/Milwaukee, WI, evenings and weekends may be required when traveling
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise, plan, and execute distribution partnership and marketing programs with channel account managers, global and regional marketing teams, and product teams. This may include gathering and sending training or marketing materials to a distribution partner, working on projects to update partner websites, or developing focused sales campaigns with channel partner marketing teams.
- Own our product information management files for National Accounts and work with our product team to keep information up-to-date and accurate.
- Assist account managers with channel partner trade shows (approximately three per year), including planning, preparation, and on-site execution .
- Attend approximately ten monthly and quarterly business reviews, either in-person or virtually, to understand account strategy and meet with channel partner account teams.
- Record and track monthly channel market development funds (MDF) accruals and usage, reporting monthly to the Director of Sales Operations (full training to be provided).
- While a high level of product expertise is not required, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Enerpac's core product offering, best-selling products, customer verticals, and primary applications within six to nine months of employment.
- Approximately 10-25% travel to key QBR events, trade shows, and corporate events.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong Organizational Skills: Leverage Microsoft tools (MS Teams, MS Excel) to organize plans, content, and action trackers. There are opportunities to use more innovative solutions through demonstration of value.
- Sales & Marketing Knowledge: Basic understanding of the trends in industrial product marketing, with some familiarity or research of distribution marketing programs. Experience with industrial distribution marketing programs is preferred.
- Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with partners, customers, and internal teams.
- Willingness to Learn: We're looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn and apply training quickly. There are opportunities to innovate and improve processes.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in liberal arts, business, marketing, or a similar field with at least 4 years of experience in sales or marketing; or a related Associate's degree with 6 years of related experience in sales, or marketing.
Physical Demands
Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee may have to life demonstration tooling up to 100 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. This can include occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee will need to assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Employee can work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time. Will have repetitive motions that include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Work Environment
Primary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different customers where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. While visiting customers, employee may occasionally be exposed to high/low temperatures, outdoor elements (such as precipitation and wind), high levels of noise, hazardous conditions, small and/or enclosed spaces, or adverse environmental conditions.
