Overview
_Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and wages ranging from $20.68 - $26 / hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience_
Cook/Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking meals as assigned using standardized recipes to meet established culinary standards of high quality care. Ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and resident expectations. Will plate food for optimal eye appeal to entice food consumption by our residents in our Senior Assisted Living Community located in Hermantown, MN.
This Chef position includes:
+ Casual/on-call
+ Day/evening
+ 10 hour shift
+ Must pick up three shifts a month; one shift being a weekend shift
The Pillars of Hermantown is Ebenezer's newest managed senior living community in northern Minnesota, near Duluth and will offer Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care options with 105 total apartments near major crossroads and amongst beautiful scenary. The Pillars creates purposeful lifestyles for our seniors with dedicated staff to meet their needs in a variety of ways. Aurora on France is an innovative senior living community and conveniently located in the heart of Edina near many medical centers/providers, and on a bus line for easy transportation. Aurora is a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. Responsibilities/Job Description
+ Ensuring that meals are served and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and customer expectations
+ Preparation of meals, line service, clean-up
+ Assisting Culinary Director with supervision and training of culinary staff
Qualifications
+ Scratch cooking experience preferred
+ High volume cooking experience in a similar environment required
+ One to three years related experience
+ ServSafe certification preferred, but will assist in obtaining
