Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The Chief Engineer (CE) is the technical conscience for the system or product who understands customer needs, product/system requirements, and the mission and/or application. The CE supports the Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and is a key member of the technical leadership team. The CE is typically delegated ownership of the project Technical Baseline by the PEM.
Specific job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Expected to formulate and implement complex system solutions.
+ Provides technical oversight of program or group of programs within the portfolio.
+ Provides technical support to portfolio strategy, growth, and operational analysis.
+ Supports proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost estimating and presentation activities.
+ Preparing and deliver customer and technical presentations.
+ Will have outside contact with customers, other contractors and government officials.
+ Performs systems engineering functions such as developing and managing systems level requirements, developing operational systems concepts, performing system architecture trade studies, originating design concepts or performing systems level integration and test for highly complex systems.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Requires qualified candidates to hold an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
+ Bachelor s degree and Minimum 8 years of technical leadership experience and capabilities relevant to the business
+ Ability to form a vision and implement action plans to achieve that vision
+ Proven ability to share and transfer technology across organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the business
+ Leadership skills and experience directing and mentoring engineers on complex programs
+ Expertise in System Architectures
+ Expert in effectively documenting, communicating, leading and working with a team on designs, results, reports, and presentations.
+ Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test) through production
+ Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
+ Active United States security clearance, Top Secret, SCI Eligible
+ Model based systems engineering experience with tools such as MagicDraw
+ Experience with technical performance measurements and cost account management
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
