Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive, detailed project cost estimates for industrial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and services.
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications to understand scope and requirements.
- Utilize estimation software such as Primavera, Procore, Planswift, Sage, and Building Connected to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals, ensuring they meet client requirements and deadlines.
- Conduct detailed risk and opportunity assessments for each estimate.
- Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to resolve technical issues during the estimation process.
- Lead cost analysis and cost forecasting activities, providing insights and recommendations to optimize cost performance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, rates, and pricing to inform estimation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams, providing clear and detailed explanations of estimates and underlying assumptions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction estimating with a total of 10-15 years in construction/estimating.
- Proficiency in construction softwares such as Primavera, Procore, Planswift, Sage, and Building Connected.
- Strong experience in preparing bid proposals, cost analysis, and project estimating.
- In-depth understanding of industrial construction processes, materials, and standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
