Fast-growing, female-founded healthcare startup is looking for a Chief of Staff to their Founder. This is an incredible opportunity to join a mission-driven team of 4 full-time who are expanding rapidly! As a strategic partner and force multiplier, you will play a vital role in driving the company's goals and initiatives during this critical growth stage. Someone with exceptional strategic thinking and execution who takes initiative and ownership. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, 4 days/week. This role will require travel 1 week/month to new markets and conferences in U.S. 150-190K+ DOE + equity, benefits for dependents too, and generous PTO!
Responsibilities:
- As a strategic partner to the Founder, you will drive organizational effectiveness through strategic planning, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.
- Develop and maintain organizational roadmaps and strategic initiatives in partnership with leadership.
- Track progress against strategic objectives and ensure alignment across departments, translating high-level strategy into actionable plans with clear milestones.
- Establish and maintain organizational OKRs & KPIs. Identify trends and insights and make recommendations for performance improvements.
- Design and implement operational processes to improve efficiency, including documentation of key organizational procedures and workflows.
- Create and distribute regular updates on strategic initiatives across the team.
- Participate in critical product and business strategy sessions, advising and making decisions on behalf of the Founder as needed.
- Plan and execute Quarterly Board meetings in partnership with the Executive Assistant, including preparation of materials and stakeholder communication to guarantee each meeting's success.
- Support fundraising efforts through investor and fund research, communications, coordination, planning, etc.
- Lead new employee onboarding and oversee payroll operations.
- Proactively identify and eliminate obstacles that prevent the Founder from operating efficiently.
- Manage high-priority strategic projects and fill organizational gaps as the company scales.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a strategic operational partner in an early-stage, high-growth startup.
- Demonstrated track record of executing strategic initiatives and building operational infrastructure.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making experience.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Strategic mindset with proven ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Track record of proactive problem-solving and taking initiative.
