About the Job
After-school Child Care Associates looks after children ages 3 to 10. The primary responsibility is to keep the children happy, busy, and safe in a nurturing, Christian environment. Successful individual enjoys working with young children and is enthusiastic, creative, efficient, and responsible.
Hours: Monday - Friday / 2 pm - 6 pm, with optional summer hours.

The work schedule is tied to the school calendar, usually 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on school days. Some full days are required for coverage on "no school days." Summer childcare work hours may vary.
Duties:
- Assist in planning and supervising activities that promote the social, mental, physical, emotional and educational development of the children.
- Is able to effectively use the attendance and communication system.
- Clean the childcare room for the purpose of maintaining a safe, orderly and sanitary environment.
- Reports to the child care director.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Child care experience preferred.
- Must possess valid CPR and First Aid certifications or be willing to possess.
- Ability to pass a background check.
ADA Physical Requirements:
- The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.
- The employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods; use hands; reach with hands and arms.
- Close vision required for paperwork and computer.
- Able to utilize computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
- This role classroom type environment which may require the employee to bend and lift 40 pounds.
