Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site)
This is a direct hire Civil Engineer opportunity for well-established Indianapolis engineering firm that has been in operation for 30 years. This firm of 7 partners/owners and over 50 employees, including 23 engineers, focuses on transportation, site development, inspection, surveying, and right-of-way in the State of Indiana. In addition to their company benefits, they work hard to invest in their community and each year they are a part of several community initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Civil design in roadway, grading, drainage, utility, and site development projects.
- Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
- Build excellent communication skills with project team, government agencies, and clients
- Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Produces engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules
- Utilize time efficiently in completing tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget
- Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements.
Remote work: Open to remote options if there is illness, but otherwise would like people in the office. Might be open to one day a week remotely. Unless someone has a lot of experience, they really want people in the office because of collaboration.
Culture: Very nice office, laid back environment, and they do some after-hours events.
Requirements
YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE U.S. WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Experience in design of civil engineering projects
- Transportation and site development and design experience
- EIT or PE preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and similar engineering software recommended.
