We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking a **Civil Engineering Intern** to be based in **Houston, Texas** . This position will be responsible for assisting Project Engineers with planning, designing, and documenting civil engineering projects, such us highways, bridges, surface drainage, and utilities infrastructure. In this role, the Intern will assist Engineers by performing the routine aspects of civil engineering assignments. The Intern will work on a variety of projects pertaining to transportation. _This position is expected to begin in May 2025._ **_The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:_** + Assist Project Team by providing design support (reports, design calculations, and quantity and cost estimates) for roadway, hydraulics, and civil engineering design projects. + Assist with the preparation and production of reports, plans, specifications, and estimates. + Work as a contributing member of a design team. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience designing highway/roadway and storm drainage systems. + Familiar with MS Office 2010 software (Excel, Word, and Project). + Team player with excellent communication skills. **Additional Information** + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
