Civil Litigation Associate Attorney - Gpac

We have a great opportunity with a highly regarded California law firm seeking an associate attorney to join their recognized practice. We are searching for an associate with demonstrated academic and professional achievement with experience handling all aspects of litigation. The firm practices in several areas and attorneys work cross-functionally with practice groups from all areas of the firm. The ideal candidate will have a background in civil defense, labor and employment, or business litigation. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication skills with the ability to handle matters independently while working well in a team setting. Associates can expect to counsel individuals, businesses, and employers on a variety of matters and represent them through litigation. 

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Member and in good standing of the California Bar
• 3-5 years of experience in any area of civil litigation
• Experience in all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions and hearings, and settlement negotiation
• Adept with legal research and drafting complaints, motions, briefs, memorandums, discovery, and other legal correspondence
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines efficiently
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to think strategically
