Job Title: Temporary Construction Manager
Temporary Position - Approximately 15 Months
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Construction Manager to join our team for a 15-month period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil earthworks and utilities contracting. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Oversight: Supervise and manage all aspects of construction projects, including planning, execution, and close-out.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and deliverables.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and resource allocation.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work meets quality standards and complies with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
- Coordination: Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to senior management and address any issues or concerns promptly.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve any construction-related issues or delays to minimize impact on project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management with a strong emphasis on civil earthworks and utilities contracting.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CCM) are advantageous.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Software Proficiency: Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds and navigate construction sites safely.
