Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
The Imaging Department Clinic Assistant is responsible for front line communication with patients who come to the Imaging Department. Will be responsible for a basic knowledge of Imaging studies in order to answer basic, non-clinical questions from patients. Responsibilities include: scheduling and checking in patients as necessary, entering Imaging orders, distributing oral prep for CT and MRI studies, burning CDs for patients, answering incoming department phone calls, placing reminder calls to patients for high end imaging patients with appointment prep instructions, communicating with department technologists and radiologists. May act as back up to the film library for specific tasks.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task effectively.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology.
- Working knowledge of computers and basic software programs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years' experience in a health care environment providing administrative assistance in patient environment strongly preferred.
- Prefer those with Epic EHR experience.
Pay Range:
$17.28 - $24.19

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
