Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
The role of the clinical educator encompasses assessing clinical performance at the bedside in relation to established performance standards and competencies. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to identify and address learning needs at the unit level, and participates in the provision of organizational wide education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related health-care field or current enrollment in Bachelor’s degree program and receipt of Bachelor's degree within 18 months of hire or promotion required.
Experience: Minimum three years bedside nursing experience in an acute-care hospital.
Knowledge and Skills: The successful employee will have excellent interactive skills and will be comfortable speaking in front of a group. In addition they should have the ability to apply the principles of adult learning to the education process. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
License/Certifications: Current RN license to practice nursing in the state of California. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS card required within 6 months of hire.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$49.10 - $73.64
The posted pay range reflects the lowest to highest pay that was available for this position at the time of posting and may be subject to change. Salary offers are determined by candidate’s relevant experience and skills. For per diem positions, a standard rate is used based on market data and not the candidate’s individual experience.
