Clinical Information Systems Director
The Clinical Information Systems Director is the senior technology leader for the organization. While this role includes leadership and responsibilities over all aspects of IT and the related resources, the direct responsibilities are focused on healthcare related systems. Including:
- Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR)
- Practice Management Systems
- Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
- Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS)
- Security and Compliance
This position is responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies, providing direction and development of IT staff and management of outsourced partners/resources.
The Clinical Information Systems Director works closely with the appropriate executives, physicians, management and staff to maximize efficient and effective use of clinical information systems related to patient care, user satisfaction, clinical productivity, quality outcomes, and ensures that the organization’s clinical systems meet all regulatory requirements.
The Clinical Information Systems Director plans and implements integration of Rheumatology Associates’ clinical systems with those of its healthcare partners, including hospital systems, external physician groups, laboratories, diagnostic centers, regional health initiatives, etc.
The Clinical Information Systems Director works to improve the overall efficiency of the practice through the systems while also ensuring the maximum level of patient care and satisfaction.
Must have an infrastructure background (Network, Servers, Routing, Wifi, Security) plus experience with the following:
- EMRs– eClinicalWorks experience preferred.
- SQL - Databases / PowerBuilder
- HL7 interfaces
- LIS systems – (Orchard Harvest)
- Phone systems – (Avaya)
- Security Assessment
- Routing, Firewalls, VPN
- Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure
This position reports directly to the CEO
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
