POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Innovation Specialist is a remote travel position responsible for instilling confidence in Treace’s new surgeon customers and the OR support team through a deep understanding of TMC-related products and procedures, ensuring proper technical use in various patient and clinical environments. The goal of the CIS is to ensure the safe and effective application of our products.
This role is integral to new product launches and customer adoption and retention. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Education, Product Management, and the Sales organization to become a subject matter expert on Treace’s new and legacy product innovations.
Additionally, the Clinical Innovation Specialist will take on a clinical leadership role, responsible for training and conducting educational labs with surgeons in their assigned region(s). The Specialist also serves as the internal expert and primary point of contact for customer feedback regarding the performance of our products.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attends surgeries with new surgeon customers, providing technical guidance on proper clinical use and techniques to ensure optimal outcomes and an excellent customer experience.
- Conducts clinical product training for the sales team as needed.
- Collaborates directly with Product Management for successful new product launches.
- Coordinates and executes product training for surgeons, both didactic and cadaveric, ensuring proper selection and qualification of all trainees in the assigned region.
- Provides technical insights to the sales team within your assigned region.
- Assists with surgical protocols, techniques, tips, and tricks.
- Develops positive, enduring relationships with our surgeon customers and key accounts.
- Supports local, regional, and national trade shows and labs as required.
- Updates management and marketing on industry trends, product advancements, and customer needs.
- Offers feedback to Engineering on product design to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a science or closely related field is preferred; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Three 3+ years of successful clinical or product specialist or field sales experience with a surgical implant company (foot and ankle experience preferred), or 1+ years as a member of an Operating Room surgical team (RN or PA).
- Must reside in the assigned region.
- Previous operating room experience is required.
- Must be able to travel up to 90%, with some weekends required.
Additional Information
At Treace Medical Concepts, Inc. we believe in pay transparency and fairness. The compensation for this role may range from $87,000 to $130,000 based on factors such as experience and qualifications. As compensation, in addition to base pay, eligible employees may receive bonuses, commissions, or other incentives, as well as access to our comprehensive benefits package.
