One of our clients in the region has engaged us to help them recruit a Lab Director to lead their growing team of healthcare professionals. Their cutting-edge facility offers comprehensive testing solutions, and we are looking for a dynamic Clinical Lab Director to lead their exceptional team.
Position Overview:
The Clinical Lab Director will oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while delivering high-quality results. This role demands a strong leader who can cultivate a collaborative environment and drive continuous improvement in laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily laboratory operations, including staff supervision, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement laboratory policies and procedures to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Monitor laboratory performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead a team of medical technologists, technicians, and support staff, providing mentorship and training.
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret lab results and support clinical decision-making.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to keep the lab at the forefront of the field.
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs to maintain laboratory standards.
Qualifications:
- Board certification in clinical pathology or a related specialty.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a clinical laboratory, with at least three recent years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, regulations, and quality assurance practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
