Our Clinical Supply Operations is responsible for the supply of drug product administered to patients in clinical studies worldwide. In Global Product Development and Supply the team works closely with our partners to deliver quality products safely, efficiently and on time while operationalizing the innovative technologies that will deliver the transformative medicines of tomorrow. Role & Responsibilities:
TheClinical Logistics Specialistis a role on theClinical Supply Chain Operations team, encompassing bothinbound and outboundTransportation as well asSite Import Administration.
Coordinate both domestic and international, ambient andtemperature controlledshipments.Ensure that both inbound and outbound shipments areappropriately packed andpassive/active shippersselected andpreconditionedasnecessary.
Prepareaccurate transportation and customs documentationby collecting and compiling relevant shipment details andupdating the documentation as necessary until the time of the shipment.Collaborate with all stakeholders i.e.Requestor, Carrier, Receiving Site and Broker andensure that documentation is shared with all stakeholdersin a timely manner.
Verifythe accuracy of the productas well asapplyaccurateproduct and address labels. Collaborate with the freight forwarder/carrier to track the shipmentin transit and ensure the delivery of theright product to the right location at the right time and in the right condition. Provide periodic status updates to all stakeholders.
Communicate withcustoms brokers to ensure thataccurateinformation, documentation andimport instructions are provided to seamlesslyclear BMS imports inan accurate,compliantandtimelymanner.
Provide clearance information to the designated brokers,FDAand other government agencies. Relay FDA release information tooperations to ensure that inbound shipments are quarantinedprior to FDA release.
Maintain theimport log for all entries andperformauditofentry documents. Ensure that thesite import process is alwaysmaintainedin an audit ready state.
Assist in researching and resolving logistics issues as they arise as well ascoordinate the logistics forselectinbound or drop-shipCSO/PD international shipments.
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelorsdegree inBusiness,Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related field
Specialist Level: 2-3years experienceas a Transportation/Importation Specialist or a similarlogisticsrole, preferably in a bio-pharmaceutical environment.
Senior Specialist Level: 3-5years experienceas a Transportation/Importation Specialist or a similarlogisticsrole, preferably in a bio-pharmaceutical environment.
In-depth knowledge of Airfreight Import/Export Operations,as well as TSA, IATA regulations.
APICS CPIM, CSCP or other certifications preferred.
Excellent time management skills, as well as proven ability to multitask.
